Privacy Policy

ShredLens is built to keep your footage yours. The app records and processes video entirely on your iPhone. It does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server, and it has no account system.

Data we collect

None. ShredLens does not collect any data from you or your device. There is no analytics framework, no advertising SDK, and no third-party code that would receive information about you. Because nothing is transmitted off the device, there is nothing for us — or anyone else — to access.

Device permissions, and why the app asks

The app requests a few system permissions purely so it can function on your device. Each is used only on the device, in the moment, and never sent anywhere:

• Camera — to show the live fisheye preview and to record video.
• Microphone — to record audio together with your video.
• Photos (add) — to save a finished clip to your library when you tap Save, and to let you pick an existing video to run through the filter when you choose to import one.

You can review or change any of these at any time in Settings → ShredLens on your iPhone.

Where your videos go

Clips are processed on your device using its graphics hardware. A clip stays in the app's temporary storage until you decide to save it or delete it. When you save, it is written to your own Photos library — it is never uploaded to us. When you delete, it is removed from the app's storage.

Children

ShredLens does not collect data from anyone, including children, and contains no ads or in-app messaging.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and the date at the top before that change ships.
